Angelos Liaros-Copola is a Berlin based, professional sound designer and experimental electronic composer from Athens, Greece. He has been working for the prolific for the music software brand Native Instruments Berlin/LA/Tokyo since 2011. Angelos is the lead sound designer for the Maschine brand contributing  several NI products from concept to creation participating in projects such as Massive, Razor, Reaktor and other software synths.

Starting as a death metal guitar player his love for string instruments (Cretan Lute) remains strong and matches his passion for hardware analog synthesizers. Attracted by darker narrative storytelling he paints a thick intimate landscape of dense sounds provoking the listener through tension and relief.  In 2010 he nominates for best sound design in the European contest ‘Soundtrack Cologne’ 7.0 for the short film ‘Der Schrottmann’. In 2019 he debuts in the world of contemporary dance as the music composer for Coup De Grace at Klap-maison pour la dans in Marseilles receiving critical acclaims and positive response for his work.

Following up a large discography and performances in prestigious venues (Berghain, Norberg fest, Fusion, Maschinefest) he has released records and worked with many independent international labels like Ant-Zen (DE), Ad-Noiseam (DE), Prspct (NL), Tympanik (US) under various experimental music monikers such as MOBTHROW & latest work BLAKK HARBOR.
